I believe everything is alive. The light on a bird’s wing, the curve of a mushroom, the quiet strength of trees, the fleeting emotion in a human face — each reveals a story of connection.

Through my lens and my words, I seek to honor these moments as they are: unedited, raw, and rooted in the living world. My work is shaped by reciprocity — receiving the gift of light, life, and presence, and offering it back as images and reflections that invite belonging, reverence, and attention.

My photography and writing live in the spaces between art and nature, spirit and soil, wind and water. Each frame, each sentence, is a meditation on the systems that sustain us — plants, animals, people, weather, landscapes — all held in relationship.

Lumen is latin for light; life names what light sustains. Lumen & Life is both a portfolio and a practice — a way of paying attention to the systems that sustain us, and the light that moves through them.
